How we provide
The MPTO pays for the in-house programs and field trips enjoyed by our children. We fundraise throughout the school year solely to ensure that all the school children benefit from these additional curriculum experiences.
Treasure Chest
In an effort to optimize time and reduce fundraising activities, we implemented our Treasure Chest Campaign during the Fall-Winter of 2004. This is a direct-donation campaign where the money received enters our General Fund account to pay directly for the programs and field trips. Donations given to the Treasure Chest are tax-deductible. This method provides parents with an important tax write-off, while enabling the MPTO to continue sponsoring valuable programs to our children.
Fundraising Events
Based upon previous feedback from parent surveys, we are making an effort to reduce the number of fundraising events. Past events have included:

Book Fair
Penny Drive (also curriculum-based)
We also participate in a number of community events such as the Pumpkin Festival and Chief Will's Day.
